Paige & Jimmy's Conversation of the Day

We were on our way to the park this morning and I found myself laughing out loud at a conversation Jimmy & Paige were having in the back seat.

Paige: "Jimmy what do you want be when you grow up? A construction worker who builds things or a fixer person who uses tools?"
Jimmy: "Well, I want to be a daddy."
Paige: "Yeah, I want to be a mommy."
Jimmy: "Then I can marry you."
Paige: "Yeah Jimmy I can marry you, because I love you soooo much!"
Jimmy: "Yeah!"
Paige: "But Jimmy, I might find a nicer boy than you and marry him. And you might find a better girl too."

Paige's Quote of the Day

This weekend I began preparing for a garage sale in May. I have been cleaning out tons of baby stuff and organizing everything. While folding up baby clothes into their designated boxes, Paige asked me what I was doing. I tried to explain to her that we are going to have a garage sale in a few weeks to sell the things we don't want or need anymore to other people. She looked at me as though she didn't quite understand. So I tried to rephrase my explanation. "All of these clothes here don't fit you, Jimmy and Alyssa anymore, so we are going to sell them to other people and give them a turn to use it. So we are going to have a garage sale where everyone can come to our house and pick out what they want."

Paige: "A garage sale?"
Me: "Yes."

And then it seemed to all become clear to her...
Paige: "Oh, so we are going sell garages."

Alyssa Turns One!

On March 25th my baby..."sniff sniff"...my last baby...turned one. She is well on her way to becoming a "toddler". I am still trying to come to grips with the fact that I will have no more babies. This year went by way too fast. I am very thankful I stopped working and I was able to fully enjoy every aspect of her first year. I relished in every milestone, fully taking in the emotional tears and joy of each one. While she still looks and acts like a baby, I know far too well that it is not going to last much longer.
My smiley girl!
This little girl brings a smile to my face every day. She is a little goofball and loves to make me laugh. Her big milestone this month was learning to stand on her own. She did take two steps, but only once. She is so proud of herself.
Trying to walk to daddy.

Look at me standing all by myself!!
We had an early birthday celebration with Aunt Susan, Uncle Jonathan and her cousins at Fenton's. Alyssa had her first taste of ice cream. Yummy!
That was yummy, give me more.
After a while I just let her put her hands in it and lick her fingers.
In the Miller household, we do not believe in only having one birthday celebration. With Paige & Jimmy being right after Christmas, we tend to have more than one celebration. So, why would Alyssa be any different! Her actual birthday was on a Friday, but we weren't having the party until Saturday. We couldn't let Friday pass without singing to her and giving her a cupcake!
Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
On Saturday we had a big party at the house with family and some friends. We ate food, drank wine, sang to Alyssa and had cake. When most everyone left, we had her open some presents. We had a great time and always love having our family and friends all together for a celebration.
She was very unsure what to do with that cupcake.
After staring at it for a while, she got bored.
She then discovered that mommy had not actually given her poison and found the cupcake quite yummy.
